Integration of thir party content and services
It might occur that third party content is integrated in the Platform, e.g. Videos from YouTube, maps from Google-Maps (both part of the Google Group, please see Sec. 8), RSS-Feeds or Graphics from other websites like Getty Images (Getty Images International, The Herbert Building, Carrickmines, Dublin 18, Ireland, http://www.gettyimages.de/company/privacy-policy). When accessing the Platform by the User, relevant third party providers will receive information about access to the relevant subpage including their content.
Third party providers may safe this data in order to create a user profile usable for purposes of advertising, marketing and/or appropriate design of websites. This especially may result in needs-oriented advertising or information of other users of the third party provider about activities of the User on the Platform.
The data protection policies of the relevant third party providers (see above) provide additional information, in particular about the collection and use of data, user rights in this regard as well as the options available for protecting user privacy.
Integration of content in social media
The Platform supports functions regarding the following social media: Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 S California Ave, Palo Alto, California 94304, USA; http://www.facebook.com/policy.php), LinkedIn (LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, California 94043, USA; http://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy), Xing (Xing AG, Gänsemarkt 43, 20354 Hamburg, DE; http://www.xing.com/privacy) und Twitter (Twitter, Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, California 94103, USA; https://twitter.com/privacy).
In general, interaction with social media is not implemented via plug-in, but by the provision of a URL allowing the User to integrate the content after he has been successfully logged in to his relevant social media account. Only after such log-in personal data is transferred to the relevant social media, which may be located outside the European Union especially regarding US-American providers.
The Platform may contain social plug-ins of the aforementioned third party providers in parts as well. In that case, data transfer to the third party provider is prevented as well in the first place: According to the “2-Click-Solution”, the relevant social plug-in has to be activated by the User. Only if that activation takes place, personal data according to Sec. 5 is being transferred to and will be stored by the third party provider as mentioned above.
The Provider has no detailed information about data processing and usage procedures at the mentioned third party providers. The third party provider may safe this data in order to create a user profile usable for purposes of advertising, marketing and/or appropriate design of websites. The data protection policies of the relevant third party providers (see above) provide additional information, in particular about the collection and use of data, user rights in this regard as well as the options available for protecting user privacy.
